A Simple 7 Step New Moon Ritual
Share
New Moon is a powerful time for manifestation. Here is a simple ritual I do with my New Moon candle at the start of each Lunar month to set my intentions for the next cycle.
- Add cinnamon for prosperity to your candle holder plate.
- Write down what you want to manifest on a bayleaf, place this underneath the plate.
- Carve a specific rune, draw a symbol or simply write what you want with a skewer into your candle (optional).
- Light your New Moon candle (or any chosen candle) with intention, visualising already achieving what you desire.
- Pour a relaxing bath or alternatively wash your face with water (ideally Moon water charged under the previous Full Moon - you can add a splash of this to your bath along with milk and flower petals or herbs if you wish). Most importantly take this time to wind down, ground yourself into your body and let go of any negative emotions you are holding onto - to prepare for the next Lunar month ahead. Let any thoughts arise and breath into them. Breath out, letting them go and allow new thoughts and ideas to flow in.
- After your bath or self care time. Write down - by candlelight - your visions, goals, ideas, dreams for the future and any significant thoughts that came to you while you were relaxing. Write down any steps you know you need to take to get there. Add these steps to your weekly diary if possible or make a to do list to achieve by the end of this Lunar month.
- When you feel you have finished, light the bayleaf and watch it burn - setting your goals into action (optional - if you can do so safely) and finally blow out your New Moon candle candle.
I hope you found this ritual helpful! It's always worth taking some time to reset at the start of each Lunar cycle and manifest your dreams into your reality with a list of simple actionable steps towards your goals.
You can practice your rituals the night before the peak of the New Moon, as I usually do, or on the actual day.
