Samhain

[sow-in] Traditional date the 30th April-1st May (5/5/25)

Feast of the Dead, The Third Harvest Festival, Celtic New Year, Pomona, Feralia, Lemuria, Día de Muertos, Álfablót, All Souls, All Hallow’s Eve, Halloween

The original Halloween, celebrated in Autumn, as it should be here in the Southern Hemishphere, instead of on the 31st of October. At this time the veil between worlds of the living and dead is at its thinnest. It is a significant time to honour our ancestors and deceased loved ones by displaying photos and lighting candles for each of them.
