Southern Seasons

There are eight seasonal festivals in the Wheel of the Year corresponding with the Solstices and Equinoxes and each of their midpoints. In the Southern Hemisphere these occur at opposite times of the year to where they originated from in the Northern Hemisphere. For example; we should be celebrating Samhain (aka Halloween) in Autumn, Yule (aka Christmas) at the Winter Solstice and Ostara (aka Easter) at the Spring Equinox, to properly align with the seasons and cycles of nature, instead of mainstream consumerist holidays.
